Modpack Changes

The following mods are the ones which the largest impact on how we play Escher Dimension. Make sure to take advantage of them.

Voice Chat

Configure it any time by pressing [v]. If players are close to you, you can hear them. If they aren't close to you, you can't. If you are going into the depths alone, or want to be able to chat with remote group's, you'll need a walkie talkie. To use the walkie talkie, turn it on, and swap to the channel of the person you wanna talk to. You can hear them as long as the walkie talkie is in your hotbar. They can hear you as long as the walkie talkie is in your hand.

Death Compass

When you respawn, you will be given a compass shaped like a skull. When in the same dimensional layer as your grave, it will point you right to it. Be careful though, death compasses vanish on death.

Shulker Box Tweaks

You can see a preview of items in a shulker box when hovering your mouse over it. You can also open the shulker box by right clicking with it in your hand, without needing to place the shulker box down. This makes it act slightly more like a backpack.

Soulbound

In the enchantment table you may commonly find the Soulbound enchantment. Item's with Soulbound will stay in your inventory after you die, so you don't need to find your grave to keep them.
