Rules
Property
One of the notable differences between Atlas Industria and other servers is the complete abolition of private property. This means
- No claiming land as being reserved, or exclusively used, by you or any other players. All land will be collectivized land
- No private storage which cannot be accessed by other players unless it is storing only personal property. Storing materials, building supplies, or equipment in personal storage is forbidden
- No machines will be created that are solely operated by a single player. No hidden bases shall be made to bypass these restrictions
This may bring up some very reasonable questions about what quantifies personal property, and what the restrictions on personal property are. There are no restrictions in terms of what you can do with personal property, and you will not be forced to give any personal property over to other players. However, personal property must meet the following criteria:
- It must have some restriction on use which prevents it from being used by multiple people easily. Items in your inventory are hard for other people to use, but cars would still be considered public property even if you are the main user of them
- Items that can be considered personal items must be for long term use. Equipment like a wooden sword which is meant to be disposed of would be a public item, but an item you carry around with you with no immediate intent to replace would be a personal item
- For each item in the game only one may be a personal item. For instance, if you have a netherite fortune pick, and a netherite silk touch pick, one of those must be a public item and primarily kept in shared storage, you can only have 1 personal item netherite pick
- Each player may have 1 personal abode, which cannot itself be a land claim. This abode may be restricted to the owner of the abode as the only one who can change it. However, the abode may not include machines used in the non-manual processing of materials or items (crafting tables are fine, but a production line is not), and must be purely cosmetic.
